Baked Ziti

Ingredients
1 lb rigatoni noodles
1 onion, diced (optional)
2 (26 oz) jars spaghetti sauce
6 oz provolone cheese, sliced
90 oz ricotta
1 ½ cups sour cream
6 oz mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves minced garlic
crushed red pepper (optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add noodles, and cook for 7 min.; drain.
In a large skillet, brown onion and garlic over medium heat.
Put into a large pot, add spaghetti sauce, and simmer for 15 min. Adjust sauce to taste, turn off heat. Add noodles to sauce and mix.
Butter a 9x13 in. Baking dish. Layer as follows: ½ ziti/sauce mixture, Provolone cheese, sour cream, remaining ziti/sauce, and Mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 min. covered in foil in the preheated oven, or until cheese is melted; uncover, top with ricotta cheese and bake for another 5 min.
